What's Happening at DCTA
Who We Are
DCTA (Direct Connections to Africa) provides villages in Malawi, Africa things they need to thrive in the world and overcome the abject poverty that people are struggling with everyday.
By providing educational and medical help, we are changing and saving lives.
DCTA has a 50-50 philosophy where recipients give back by writing letters to you. They update you on their lives and include photos.

What We Do

Sponsor a Student
Connect in and change a life by sponsoring a high school / college student who needs to leave school because of lack of funds.
Your student writes you a letter each month telling you about their life and educational progress.

Education & Training
DCTA provides much needed training to the remote villages including: Job Development, Adult Education, Pre-School Certification, Chief and Committee Training, Banking Information, Small Business Development, Medical Information and much more.

Provide Fresh Water
With your donations, DCTA provides clean water wells for villages that do not have fresh water nearby. Villages report no water borne diseases in their village after a well is installed. Each village, given a well, forms a committee to manage the Well. Clean Water Saves Thousands of Lives!

Medical & Wellness
DCTA has sent U.S. doctors to the villages to administer eye clinics and medical training. Medical items are shipped to help the clinic provide better services.
Ambulance bikes are provided to remote villages through donations and grants.

Infrastructure
DCTA has received grants and donations to provide infrastructure for the villages. This includes: Education Centers, Classrooms, Recreation Areas, Playgrounds, and Restrooms (Separated Male and Female Facilities).

Teacher Connect
DCTA connects you to a teacher/classroom in a rural area in Malawi. You will send them a box/s of school supplies four times per year. We have seen 50% higher test shores in classrooms that participate in the Teacher Connect program. You Do Not Need to be a Teacher to Participate.
